Technology

With more than 40 years of custom injection molding experience, Cheng Fa is now recognized as an innovative injection molding company.
We specialize in :

Large Parts Injection Molding

Our large variety of equipment allows us to manufacture products for almost any plastic applications, especially the large plastic molded parts, e.g. air conditioner bezels, television backshells, water chamber and manifolds for plastic pumps, etc.

Gas-Assist Injection Molding

  • Gas-assist injection molding is a specialized process during which nitrogen gas is inserted into the mold cavity to push the plastic to the edges of the mold.
  • Mostly used for hollow parts, such as rails, handles and tubes.
  • Improved dimensional stability without distortion.
  • Fewer weld lines due to fewer injection points.
  • Elimination of sink marks.
  • Reduced power consumption.
  • Material savings (weight, cost) for thick-walled parts up to 40%.
  • Reduction in molding time cycles by up to 50%, i.e. cost of production.
  • Reduced in-mold pressures by up to 70%, i.e. less wear on molds.
  • More design freedom.

Variotherm Injection Molding (Rapid Heat Cycle Molding, RHCM)

  • Variotherm injection molding is also referred to as Rapid Heat Cycle Molding (RHCM) in Japan or Rapid Temperature Cycling (RTC) In UK.
  • In Variotherm injection molding process, steam is injected at 160°C to heat the tool. When the tool reaches a predetermined temperature (about 140°C) the plastic is injected. Cold water is immediately added to the process to cool the plastic down to around 40°C.
  • The Heat/Cool or Hot/Cold variable-temperature molding process is mostly used for high-gloss LCD TV bezel and Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic Chassis for ultrabooks and tablets.
  • High-gloss parts without weld lines.
  • No floating or exposed fibers on the surface of the fiberglass reinforced plastic chassis.
  • Avoid the stress mark caused around the mold gate.
  • Thinner and lighter reinforced plastic parts can be made.
  • Better crystallinity of PLA.
  • Better Melt Flow Index for Thermally Conductive Plastics.
  • Delicate texture pattern on the surface.
  • Reduction of the molding pressure and energy consumption.
  • Eliminate the cost of painting or plating.
  • Lighter and thinner reinforced plastics can be made as an alternative to metal parts.
  • PLA products become more stiff and durable.
  • Reduced cycle time for molding Thermally Conductive Plastics.
